I am a data scientist and an economist by training. In my most recent role at the American Institutes for Research (AIR), I worked as a Senior Data Scientist, where I had the privilege of contributing to impactful projects in international development, food security, and education. I collaborated with multidisciplinary teams, including researchers, data scientists, and data engineers. Before working at AIR, I was an applied scientist at Kimetrica LLC, where I used econometric modeling to tackle food insecurity in developing countries and the effectiveness of spending in the social sector. Earlier in my career, I served as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Lamar University. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Arizona in 2017. My doctoral dissertation focuses on the effect of government spending on reducing congestion and the role of market mechanisms in managing demand for transport goods.
