I am a senior data scientist at the American Institutes for Research (AIR). I work at the intersection of data science and international development. Prior to working at AIR, I was an applied scientist at Kimetrica LLC, where I used econometric modeling to tackle food insecurity in developing countries and the effectiveness of spending in the social sector. Before joining Kimetrica, I worked as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Lamar University. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Arizona in 2017. My doctoral dissertation focuses on the effect of government spending on reducing congestion and the role of market mechanisms in managing demand for transport goods.
